• blackZERO Technology: the good stuff, a non-water absorbing material treated with liquid Titanium Alloy to slow down your body's heat loss / located front and back from the mid-waist to upper knees. NOTE: unlike fleece lined suits, blackZERO is a closed cell that absorbs no water. Therefore, your suit will be lighter, dry faster, and will be easier to clean as it will not hold onto sand and/or dirt.

• Hidden Chamber Technology: more good stuff aka a multi-layered material that holds your body's heat loss and keeps you cozy warm for longer sessions / located in the chest and back panels.

• Hydrasilk Pro: our premium Nylon that minimizes water adsorption and maintains your suit’s overall shape memory, adding to its longevity. Located inside and outside of your suit, Hydrasilk Pro is buttery-soft, aka you won't want to take it off.

• 360 Degree Hydrasilk Neckline: velcro plush is set back from the top edge of the neckline and creates a 360 degree seal against water entry and adds Hydrasilk comfort against the skin.

Worth the investment

Gree is a very quality material and worth paying for. Nothing I found works as well dries quickly, super warm.

Very warm and comfortable

I’ve never tried a Matuse wetsuit before now. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and minimal amount of water that trickled into the suit. Plenty flexible for paddling and surfing. The interior shoulder straps are a little strange to get into, that is my only negative note.

The best wetsuit ever

I have used different brands such as billabong, xcell, oneill or nineplus (yamamoto. This is the first time I have a Matuse, I have to say that the quality is amazing. It is the best suit you can buy, super elastic and warm. The customer service is also great, they help me to choose the right size for me. From now on only I use matuse

My favourite suit

I used to sell wetsuits for a living. Selling a few thousand suits a year out of 5 stores.
So I suppose I am at one time in my life an I could be considered an expert on wet suits.

This model is my favourite suit across many many options, models and brands.

I purchased this suit 7 years ago and have used it as a daily from autumn, winter, spring in the Margaret River Region, even trips to Gnaraloo.
This suit is still alive (although now ready for recycling) I gave it to my son for 6 months while he didn’t have one.
A year and half ago I bought the exact same model as I was so pleased with my 6 1/2 years use. Yamamoto Geoprene is amazing and durable.

Unfortunately the top zip has torn / unglued. I will have it repaired if mature can help do this?
The wetsuit is so new I believe it can be used for another 4 years at least. I actually went back to wearing the old 7 year suit and I have to say I was noticing the difference between a 1 year old and 7 year old rubber.

So I just bout my third scipio 3mm suit, I believe it’s the third generation of this model and it’s amazing, the warm, the flexibility and comfort.
It’s the only suit I will surf in when is cold. It’s my favourite suit of all time. I wish to be buried in one when I die.

(Please let me know how to return my 7 year old suit for recycling and 2 year suit for zip repair)

One of the best wetsuits you can get. Material is super light, stretchy, warm, and does not absorb water like in other brand's wetsuits. Buy one, you will not be disappointed!
