I've had my pair of Tabi boots for about 6 weeks but after 15 years of using Matuse wetsuits I'm really disappointed in these. They felt great to start, the proprioception through the soles is amazing, but I was surprised how thin they are - they are much thinner my 2mm Dive Pant (in the pic below the boot is on the right) and more like my 1mm Philo jacket. This has meant 3 things: because the seams are not taped they have already come apart in the same place on both boots, they balloon like wellies because the very thin neoprene is way too stretchy, and they aren't warm enough for spring in Ireland! Such a shame because otherwise I love the foot shape and overall design of these boots.
Loved the design and quality, and flexibility. had to return only because the sizing is off. I wear a size 11.5 in street shoes, the 11 is quite big and they were out of stock on the smaller size. If they had the size 10 would have absolutely gotten that because I don’t mind a snug boot and the rubber feels very flexible. If they have your size got a pair!
Comfortable boot that allows for great board feel and range of motion!
The size 9 ran a bit loose. I returned it. Sizing could be better. Looks like a good product but didn’t fit me right.
Unlike the suit and gloves I bought, the boots run big. Get at least a 1/2 size smaller than you usually do. They were warm but not toasty. That might have been because they were too big. The price is great though. I can't believe surf shops want over $100 for booties.
